Learn about Flowers
Goals: Students will learn/be able to point out...
-
the life cycle of a flower
-
the parts of a flower
-
how each part of a flower functions.

Lesson Plan:
Start by putting a blank large sheet of paper and the flower picture (located in the documents) on the board for the students to see.
Draw a KWL Chart on the blank paper (see KWL chart in the documents for an example). Proceed to explain to students that on a KWL Chart in the "K" column we write what we know, in the "W" column we write what we want to know, and in the "L" column we write what we've learned.

Ask students what the know about flowers and write down what they say. Ask students what they want to know about flowers. After the lab you will ask the students to share what they learned about flowers.

Play this video for students before starting the lab.
